Two Cities, One Idea
Boston supplies the starting point and Waltham, MA the stated headquarters. Between them is the story of Eastern Standard Provisions, founded in 2018 as an artisanal food brand. Its founders wanted to replace disappointing pretzels with a buttery, chewy version: tender like brioche within, traditionally Bavarian at the crust. Their stated direction was to "elevate the snack food experience."
What reaches the oven follows that brief. The soft pretzel is handcrafted from high-quality ingredients with no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. Its airy brioche-style crumb and traditional Bavarian-style exterior create the intended soft-and-structured contrast.
